patient had surgery on my prolapsed disc in l5s1 region ,after op felt pretty good no pain in left buttock or down the leg, problem is that he is now beginning to feel a pain in his buttock again and a little pain above his ankle an calf almost 2 weeks after op, currently not taking and meds, im just wondering is this normal?
Zak said:Hi,The pain was due to both your prolapsed disc and L5/S1 region soft tissue jnjury (most chronic pain patient have had),so surgery can only relive your pain from disc problem,another soft tissue injury should be treated by PT ,acupuncture ,or more walking....after op. So this is normal,about limit time,it's depend on conditions. take care!
