Patient has a problem that has been getting worse for over a year now with no resolution. his doc seems to be trying various things but to no avail. Patient has this severe lower back pain that only really becomes severe when patient sits down (particularly at night after the evening meal) or when patient go to bed. patient can dig the garden, play golf ... almost anything standing up and the pain is either no existant or a dull ache. If patient sits down for too long (or go to bed and rest) the pain becomes intolerable. To reduce the pain patient use IBUPROFEN, which works fine at the moment.

It sounds like what you're describing is chronic soft tissue injuries, which can become worse over time as poor circulation. Given the severity of your pain and the functional limitations it's now placing on you, it probably is time to consult with a medical acupuncturist (Doctor),I would agree that intensive acupuncture can be helpful.
good luck!
Why does golf sport hurt your back?
Golf swing is not a natural movement and is not very back-friendly, even if the best techniques are employed. Eight times your body weight is forced through your spine as you reach full impact. Poor technique and repetition, more than the swing itself, are the main reasons for back pain in golf players. There is compression and excessive torsion of the spine when the body does not move optimally through a golf swing.
