I am presently seeing a physiotherapist who has done acupuncture on my low back but is now treating neuropathy in my right hand and arm which started during surgery for Interstitial Cystitis and a large IV needle in my small veins caused me constant, stabbing pain in my right arm and shoulder. I took the drug Lyrica for 10 months which helped with the arm and shoulder pain, but I continue to have pain, tingling, numbness and throbbing in my right hand and wrist which my P.T. is using acupuncture for. Then in the past few months I started experiencing severe pain in my vaginal region and was tested for yeast, bacterial infections, etc. with all being normal. My GP examined the area and found that since I am 67 and went through a surgical menopause at age 31 (I have been on ERT since then and for the last few years have been on a low dose (.5 mg.) of Estrace, my vagina/vulva area is thin, red, inflamed and deficient in estrogen. I had Estriol compounded by a pharmacist and am just starting to use the cream vaginally every 3 to 5 nightss. DO YOU FEEL ACUPUNCTURE COULD PROVE BENEFICIAL IN THE UNBEARABLE PAIN I EXPERIENCE IN THE VAGINA/VULVA AREA AS WELL AS RADIATING TO MY HIPS, LOW BACK AND AT TIMES DOWN MY LEGS? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.
In response to:How does acupuncture treat cystic acne?| Acupuncture Soho

Hi,
Yes! | Acupuncture Bromley

Recent research shows that acupuncture improves memory and cognitive function in healthy human subjects too. The Journal of Acupuncture and Meridian Studies just published my doctoral research where we developed a technique that is clinically proven to improve working memory (WM). WM has been associated with predicting ability in reading, math, language, computer programming, abstract reasoning and more. One 20-minute acupuncture treatment improved subjects WM test score by 9.5% compared to control group. http://www.jams-kpi.com/article/S2005-2901%2812%2900215-4/fulltext has the full article.

In response to:Cooled radiofrequency for back pain,"New technique?" | Acupuncture Bloomsbury

Hi Chris,

2012 year of the snake begins.
China is still Medieval by Western standards.
They are consuming large amounts of the Earths energy and destroying the ocean floor looking for minerals.
Like an out of control gyroscope watch from a distance.
Who would want to put their money into that.
Some of the Chinese medicine we have received from China was laced with western drugs. I don't know any Chinese friends of mine who want to go back to China from the UK...
So how could you make such a harsh judgment about an educational body.
You can tell my boss isn't Chinese yet.... ha ha
